Lori Mathison, BComm, LLB, BCL, CGA
is a tax partner with the law firm of Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP.  She provides specialized tax advice to assist clients with domestic and cross-border transactions. Her practice involves tax planning, negotiating and documenting complex corporate transactions including reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, private and public debt and equity offerings, and financings. She is frequently involved in second-opinion work and the implementation of tax-efficient structures for clients. Lori has extensively advised on cross-border structuring, flow-through shares, and various types of tax credits.

Lori is also a Certified General Accountant.  She has written and presented on a number of topics in the area of taxation for the Canadian Tax Foundation, Continuing Legal Education, Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, Insight, Certified General Accountants Association of Canada, the University of British Columbia, and Simon Fraser University. Lori also has presented at the Senior Resource Practitioners Institute Conference and the Canadian Institute of Natural Resources Conference. 


Mark Woltersdorf, LLB, CGA
, is a tax lawyer practicing with Fraser Milner Casgrain in Edmonton. Prior to entering into the practice of law, he worked in public practice for 14 years, 7 with a national accounting firm and 7 years as a partner in a mid-size firm in Edmonton. His practice is focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, income tax litigation, appeals, and estate and succession planning.

Mark has instructed various income tax courses over a number of years for Certified General Accountants of Alberta, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, and the Universities of Alberta, Lethbridge, and British Columbia. In addition, he has presented papers to various organizations such as the Canadian Tax Foundation, Certified General Accountants Association of Canada, CCH Canadian Limited, and the Canadian Association of Financial Planners.
