Lori Mathison, BComm, LL.B., B.C.L., CGA

Lori Mathison, BComm, LLB, BCL, CGA, is a tax partner with the law firm of Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP. Her practice focuses on tax planning for corporations and individuals and on representing taxpayers in their dealings with taxation authorities and through the court process. Her specialized tax advice assists clients in planning complex domestic and cross-border transactions. She is frequently involved in second-opinion work and in the implementation of tax-efficient structures for clients. She also enjoys a reputation for successfully resolving tax disputes.

Lori has lectured and written on tax issues for various organizations, including CGA-BC, CGA-Canada, Canadian Institute for Chartered Accountants, Canadian Tax Foundation, and Continuing Legal Education. Lori is a Trustee of the Vancouver Public Library and a former Trustee of the CGA-BC Educational Foundation. 

 

Mark Woltersdorf, LL.B, CGAMark Woltersdorf, LLB, CGAis a tax lawyer practicing with Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP in Edmonton. Prior to entering into the practice of law, he worked in public practice for 14 years, 7 with a national accounting firm and 7 years as a partner in a mid-size firm in Edmonton. His practice is focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, income tax litigation, appeals, and estate and succession planning. He has instructed various income tax courses over a number of years for the Certified General Accountants of Alberta, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, the Universities of Alberta, Lethbridge, and British Columbia. 

In addition, he has presented papers to various organizations such as the Canadian Tax Foundation, Certified General Accountants Association of Canada, CCH Canadian Limited, and the Canadian Association of Financial Planners. 

In his spare time, Mark likes to spend time with his young family and is actively involved in coaching both his children's teams in soccer and hockey.
