This annual report, written by Canada’s Privacy Commissioner Jennifer Stoddart, reviews developments related to Canada’s Privacy Act between April 1, 2010, and March 31, 2011. Submitted to the Parliament of Canada in November 2011, it discusses various privacy-related issues, including chapters examining whether it is possible for the state to curb its appetite for information about its citizens; whether the federal government is making the right use of personal information; a description of how personal information gets disclosed by government; and a description of how the Office of the Privacy Commissioner says it has been strengthening the privacy rights of Canadians.
