Annual and quarterly financial statement packages, including balance sheets, income statements, and other important information, are routinely provided to shareholders, creditors, management, and other interested stakeholders of public companies who want to research that firm’s financial performance.
But what if the same thing could be done for people who are interested in the state of the planet? As human beings, we all have concerns about the Earth’s condition, including the environmental damage that is being done. Is it possible to quantify that and produce financial information in a shareholder’s report format, as if the Earth were a corporation and its six and a half billion citizens were the shareholders?
