The Greenhouse Gas Management Institute (GHGMI) is a non-profit organization delivering programs that include online training, professional certification, membership and research focused on greenhouse gas emissions (i.e. climate change) accounting, auditing and management. GHGMI supports professional development of practitioners and climate change programs, including Environment Canada, the Standards Council of Canada, the United Nations, World Bank, and several U.S. governments and agencies. Successful completion of training courses at GHGMI is recognized by the GHG professional certification program (www.epghg.org). In addition, successful completion of GHGMI’s GHG verification course is often recognized by programs and company request for proposals (RFPs) as a prequalification criteria.
