When is a Wire Payment Not a Wire Payment?
All wire payments exchanged between two different participating financial institutions in Canada are processed through the Large Value Transfer System (LVTS) administered by the Canadian Payments Association (CPA). "On-Us" payments processed within the same financial institution fall outside CPA Rules surrounding LVTS.
